I first went to this Italian restaurant in Bogota because all the food writers I knew were recommending it. And they were right.
On a leafy street in the El Poblado neighborhood I walked past restaurants with cuisines from around the world (and around Colombia), and then I saw it. Even before I saw the sign I was lured in by the outdoor terrace with tables and comfortable chairs.
These patties are (obviously) made with crab, an abundant raw material in the waters surrounding San Andrés Island.
A major reason to live in Colombia, in my opinion, are the fruits, and pitaya is at the top of my list. Called dragon fruit in some parts of the world, the Colombian variety is different, and just has to be tasted here in the country.
