What will you learn on your Specialty Coffee Workshop?
Our 2.5-hour Specialty Coffee Experiences take you to three specialty coffee shops in Chapinero (around Calle 72 and Cra 9) where you'll learn all about coffee in Colombia. Between each shop we follow an easy walking route through our favorite restaurant district filled with charming brick buildings, red tile roofs, and lush gardens.
You will learn about:
- How Colombians drink coffee
- Coffee history in Colombia
- Who grows coffee in Colombia
- How you can understand the flavors in coffee
- How coffee has impacted local cultures
- And how coffee changes lives
- Why coffee is more important than ever to the present and future of Colombia
- How you can help by purchasing the right kind of coffee
We also do 3 professional-style coffee tastings and try coffees from around the map of Colombia. You'll have access to Flavor of Bogota's coffee-tasting tools that were developed for specialty coffee in Colombia.
Our small-group coffee workshops were designed in 2014 by Karen Attman, known as The Coffee Lady of Bogota. She's the founder and owner of Flavors of Bogota, a former university coffee professor, and author of Permission to Slurp. That's why these workshops are so educational, yet still fun and dynamic.

- Cost of the Specialty Coffee Workshop: USD$20.95-35.95 per person, depending on the number of people in your group.
