Even though Colombia is near the equator, Bogota can get downright chilly. And on days when the sun doesn’t come out from behind the clouds, it can feel downright cold. How can you keep warm in the chilly city? I always find myself looking for good ways to warm up in Bogota. Here are a few of my favorites (of course, since I'm a foodie, expect a few food related ones).
Tipping in South America is not as common as in the United States. In South America, people can begrudge that percentage, and tend to take service for granted. In order for waiters to get their wages, in some countries restaurants will add a 10% tip to the bill, automatically, without your being able to do anything about it.
