How it works:

- Your spot in the tasting will be reserved
- You’ll receive an email with the information to connect with your certified coffee expert by Internet on the date of the tasting
- In the same email you’ll get information on how to prepare for the tasting, from choosing the coffee to how to brew it
- You’ll get access to our unique coffee tasting tools that we’ll use during the tasting, which you can download and print or view on your favorite device
- The day before the tasting we will email you the Zoom login details. If you need this in advance, simply write to us at courses@latinamericancoffeeacademy.org
Requirements for The Virtual Slurp!
Requirement #1: Coffee
You’ll need coffee! You can either:
Option 1 – purchase a coffee kit from us (shipped from Colombia), or
Option 2 – each participant can purchase their own coffee locally
Option 2 includes our Guide to Selecting the Right Coffee to help participants through the purchasing process.
Requirement #2: Internet
For The Virtual Slurp! Coffee Tasting, you will need access to Zoom (our preferred platform, no downloads required!!) and a stable internet connection.
Requirement #3: Brewing equipment
On the day of the tasting, you will need to brew your own coffee.
However, don’t worry about this one! You probably already have all you need in your kitchen. And we’ll walk you through this step with our Brew Coffee like the Pros Guide (which you receive when you book the tasting).

Who is Karen Attman?
Karen Attman has been involved with the specialty coffee industry for more than 8 years. She was a coffee professor at La Sabana university in Bogota, and is the founder of the Latin American Coffee Academy.
She is the author of Permission to Slurp, the guide to tasting specialty coffee in Colombia.
Her boutique coffee education experiences, the Flavors of Bogota Specialty Coffee Workshops, teach foreigners and locals in Colombia about specialty coffee and what it can mean to Colombian coffee growers and others involved in the coffee industry.
She speaks at national and international events and is known in Colombia as The Coffee Lady.
